Guidelines for uploading and sharing Tesla lock sounds.

Welcome to TeslaLockSound! We're building a community where Tesla owners can discover and share creative lock sounds that add personality to their vehicles. These guidelines help ensure our platform remains a fun, safe, and inclusive space for everyone.

By uploading sounds, submitting requests, or otherwise participating in our community, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal or account restrictions.

Content Standards

Audio Quality Requirements

●Format: WAV files only (Tesla's required format)
●Sample rate: 44.1kHz, 16-bit audio
●Duration: Maximum 5 seconds
●File size: Maximum 2MB
●Channels: Stereo preferred

Metadata Requirements

●Use clear, descriptive titles that accurately represent the sound
●Provide helpful descriptions so users know what to expect
●Select appropriate categories for easier discovery
●Avoid misleading or clickbait titles

Prohibited Content

Violence & Harmful Content

●Audio that glorifies violence, terrorism, or criminal activities
●Sounds that could be used to threaten, harass, or intimidate others
●Content promoting self-harm or dangerous activities
●Gore, graphic violence, or disturbing audio content

Hateful Content

●Slurs, derogatory terms, or hate speech targeting any group
●Content that demeans or dehumanizes individuals or groups
●Audio promoting discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics

Explicit & Adult Content

●Sexual or sexually suggestive audio content
●Explicit language or profanity
●Content not suitable for all ages

Intellectual Property

Your Responsibilities

●You must have the right to upload and share any content you submit
●Do not upload copyrighted music, movie sounds, or TV audio without permission
●Original creations and sounds you've personally recorded are encouraged
●If using third-party content, ensure you have proper licenses or permissions

Fair Use Considerations

●Brief, transformative uses may be acceptable (consult legal advice if unsure)
●Parody and commentary may qualify as fair use in some jurisdictions
●When in doubt, create original content or use royalty-free sources
●Attribution does not substitute for proper licensing

●Do not use trademarked names or logos without authorization
●Avoid implying official endorsement from brands or companies
●Generic references to describe content are generally acceptable

Sound Requests

When requesting sounds:

●Be specific and constructive in your requests
●Provide reference links when possible to help creators understand your vision
●Do not request content that would violate these guidelines
●Be respectful and patient - creators volunteer their time
●Avoid duplicate requests - search existing requests first

Reporting Violations

If you encounter content that violates these guidelines, please report it to us:

●Email us at reports@teslalocksound.com with details about the content
●Include the sound title or URL if possible
●Describe which guideline you believe was violated
●We review all reports and take appropriate action

Enforcement

We take guideline violations seriously and may take the following actions:

●Content removal: Sounds that violate guidelines will be removed
●Warnings: First-time or minor violations may result in a warning
●Upload restrictions: Repeat offenders may lose upload privileges
●Account suspension: Severe or repeated violations may result in account suspension
●Appeals: You may contact us to appeal any enforcement decision

Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to address new situations or clarify existing policies. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made. Continued use of TeslaLockSound after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
